Please, if you (and, therefore, your family) are in a high risk category, contact the church. We’re here to help and have volunteers who can shop for you or run other errands.
Also, if there are ways that you feel you can help, please let us know.
We are the church together.
One of the organizations that we use for our artwork in bulletins and newsletters is sending us free activity pages and devotionals. Attached are four days worth plus a page to color and mail to those you want to keep in touch with.
If you are out running an essential errand, you are welcome to stop by Trinity and pick up a Portals of Prayer devotional. They are on a table in the entryway so you do not have to come into the building. There is a bottle of hand sanitizer for you to use before touching the booklets to help keep everyone safe.
Our Sunday School superintendent, Lynn Moss, has been sending out activity pages and video links for the young. If you have a young one that would like to receive these emails, please let me know.
We continue to worship online (check out our YouTube channel, Trinity Lutheran Church, Vernon, CT) and have Lenten Spiritual Practice gatherings on Zoom. The next gathering will be tomorrow (April 2), and a link to the meeting will be sent out tomorrow morning.
You will also receive invitations to prayer meetings that we will host on Zoom during Holy Week. On Monday and Tuesday of Holy Week, we will pray a version of the Great Litany (an ancient prayer for many needs such as protection from evil, for peace, for people suffering from violence, for people suffering from disease, etc.). We will also have time for people to offer their own petitions. Watch for the invitation to the Zoom meetings and take note of the times. Also, please note that you can call into to Zoom if you do not like to download software on your computer or if you prefer to use your phone.
