Tammy was born and raised in Indiana. She was very active in music, both at school and church. Throughout high school and college, Tammy was a volunteer with the United Methodist Church helping lead their Chrysalis Flight weekends that help high schoolers and young adults grow in their relationship with God.

While attending college and working at NASA/Johnson Space Center, Tammy sang in the choir at the Baptist church she attended and volunteered to with the Sunday School kids. After graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tammy moved to Connecticut to work at Pratt & Whitney. While working at Pratt, Tammy earned her private pilot’s license, completed a Master of Business Administration degree at Carnegie Mellon University, and met her future husband, Jay. Tammy and Jay have two daughters, Kaitlin and Clara. After eight years being a private business owner and Senior Director with the direct sales company Thirty-One, Tammy resigned to answer God’s call to Christian ministry, not knowing His plans but finding joy in obedience to His call.

Tammy and her family have attended Trinity Lutheran Church since 2007. She has loved singing in the choir as well as singing and playing percussion and guitar in the Praise Team. Tammy served as President of the Congregation from 2012 to 2016 and serves on the Worship & Praise Committee. One of Tammy’s joys and passions is helping others experience God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit more deeply. She believes meeting God in His Holy Word is essential for discovering God and understanding His love for us. She co-leads Women’s Ministry, co-teaches Confirmation class, and co-leads the Youth Group.

Tammy wants to be an encourager for the Lord, helping others to not feel less-than, and to know that God has always loved them and has always been pursuing them.

One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple…I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:4,13-14
