“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”     —G. K. Chesterton

This will be my last article for the Trinity Tower as your pastor. I thought it would be appropriate to say, “Thank you” one more time for all of the blessings that you have given me.

Many of you welcomed me and Synje and Samuel when we moved here from Alaska with kindness and encouragement and a dining room table and an easy chair.

Throughout the twenty-one years we did ministry together, we were able to worship God joyfully, serve one another in times of sickness and health, feed hungry people, provide clothing and shelter and quilts to people in need, and witness to God’s deep love for all people.

Thank you. I am grateful to all of you, and I will always be grateful for the relationships we have, the ministry we have done together, and the joy that we experienced in God’s presence together.
